In a poll conducted by USA Today, the University of Kentucky was ranked #1 in the country, and the University at Albany ranked #2.
Both universities are considered top universities, and are home to many of the best research facilities in the nation.
According to USA Today: “KENTUCKY’S reputation as a top research university is thanks to its commitment to teaching, its reputation as one of the nation’s best-trained research institutions, and its focus on quality research and teaching.”
The US News & World Report ranked Kentucky’s top four schools as the best in the state.
“Our graduates are among the best, and our professors are among our top talent,” said Kentuckians Gov.
Kevin Johnson in a statement.
“They have been the backbone of our state’s innovation economy, creating thousands of new jobs, and providing millions of Americans with a high-quality education.”
Kentuckia also ranked #6 for the number of students with college degrees, according to USA News.
The University at the University, a private institution, is ranked #7, according the publication.
According to the study, the top universities in the United States are all located in the Midwest.
KENTucky’s research center is also the hub for a number of large industry companies.
For example, Kentuckias largest employer, the Kentucky Tobacco Company, is headquartered in the city of Lexington.
Kentucky University is also a member of the prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF).
The NSF awarded the university the 2019 Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019.
